Sofie Hvitved

Sofie Hvitved is a Futurist, Senior Advisor and Head of Media at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies. Her passion lies within the intersection of media and technology, and how the future media landscape is going to unfold.

Sofie is an experienced keynote speaker and moderator. In addition to focusing on the future of the Metaverse, she is leading the project Future Nordic Media Landscape 2030. She has a strategic background in the media industry, having worked for DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) and as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at the media company Luksus. Sofie is also a member of the Danish Media Board under the Minister of Culture and served on the INMA Awards’ Grand Jury in 2022. She has lived and worked in a number of locations in Europe and South America, and is currently living in Copenhagen. Her educational background is an MA in Media Studies from Aarhus University in Denmark.
