The focus is on reinforcing and maintaining user confidence and commitment by solving important obstacles. Within this dynamic group, we delve into topics such as news avoidance, the integration of (generative) AI in news processes, content verification in news reporting, the role of citizen journalism and participation, and the crucial aspect of trust in news.

We aspire to stimulate media innovation within the news department by fostering collaborative discussions around essential questions. How do we maintain public interest in news amidst rising levels of news avoidance? In what ways can generative AI assist in automating processes within the newsroom?
